I’m finally delivering the photos from their September wedding to Maja and Erik. It’s a special and very nervous feeling to finally hand over your product. The first thing I normally show my couples is a slideshow with a few selected photos from the day and yesterday I sent that to Maja and Erik and asked them to look at that together. It was a nervous wait. Would they like it? Would I hear from them? Would they… well, you get my point. At 8.30 pm last night I received an email that put a smile on my face that’s still there. I’m not going to write what it said but I think they were happy with the result
It was an amazing day to say the least. Maja and Erik were, and are a dream couple. We had a great time with the two of you and I have to say we feel very lucky to have been allowed to share this day with you.
Here you go, some of the photos from the day and the
slideshow. The slideshow contains sound so if you might disturb people around you probably want to plug in some earphones.
For Maja and her bridesmaids the day started with pampering and preparation at Skönhetsfabriken in Gothenburg. When I showed up there were tea, fruits and lots of laughter. This was later exchanged for champagne, chocolate and, well, yeah the laughter stayed the same actually.
Erik’s day didn’t include so much pampering but at Avalon hotel there was no shortage of laughter when he and his best man (and brother) were preparing. The staff at Avalon hotel was kind enough to let us up on to their super cool rooftop terrace for a few photos. If you haven’t seen that place let me just say it would be a great place for a party!
A bit after lunch Erik came over to Skönhetsfabriken to meet up with his bride. This was the first time I did a “first look” (when the groom sees his bride in her wedding dress for the first time). Erik and Maja are such an emotional and warm couple and to see this… well just because you are the photographer doesn’t mean beautiful moments like this doesn’t get to you, it was powerful! .
From there we went to Delsjön for some portraits and maybe the weather wasn’t perfect but what does that matter when you have a perfect couple.
The ceremony was taking place in Sankta Birgittas kapell at Klippan in Gothenburg. We arrived there early so we managed to squeeze in some photos together with Maja’s bridesmaids and Erik’s best man before the show started.
After the ceremony the festivities continued at Ordenshusen in Johanneberg where Erik and Maja arrived in style…
It was a beautiful day and, as I have understood, a great evening and night with lots of laughter and lots of tears… tears of happiness that is.
